Why You Should Offer a Gut Health Program to Your Customers

You’re in the right place right now, if you have pure intentions of helping others and the education to do it.  Besides having a professional well-functioning website, you’re going to need digital products that are appealing to your niche market that customers can readily purchase. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that gut health is a huge conversation in the health and wellness world right now, and for a good reason. As a practitioner, you know just how important it is to keep our second brain in tip-top shape to prevent illness and disease. Not only is gut health an approach you want to use in your practice to help clients get well, but it’s also great for your business too. Why? Because the market is hot and customers are looking to get help in this area, meaning money in your pocket. All you need is the right product and marketing strategy.

Finding the right program that fits your business is essential, not only for the success of your business but for the success of your clients. With so many online resources to choose from you’re going to need to do your research. Here are some of the things you want to look for when choosing the right program for you.

 

Reliable information backed by the latest research

 

First and foremost the information you deliver to your clients should be accurate and backed by research. You want to build yourself as a credible source of information in the health and wellness field, and the content you provide is a reflection of that.

 

A good gut health program isn’t complicated and can get even your toughest customers feeling great fast. The program we’ve created uses the protocol many functional medicine doctors have been using for years to heal their patients. It works. I’ve been using this approach with clients for about four years now and have seen so many miraculous changes in people’s health and lives.  I’ve seen A1c levels come down from over 7.0 to 5.2 in just a few short months without medication or carb counting, chronic psoriasis that no medication helped in two years gone within two weeks, and so many more incredible stories.

 

Actionable tools to help your clients reach their goals

 

The main point of offering your services is to get results for your customers. You need a program that’s packed with tools to help your clients win! Those tools should be actionable to keep your clients engaged and on track. Here are some things we recommend:

 

Health assessment – this is something your client can complete at the beginning of their journey to see where they are starting; it’s a document that lists all of their health concerns and symptoms. An assessment gets them thinking about their health, where they’re at and where they want to be. The great thing about assessments is you can use them to track progress. Have them fill this out every few weeks or once a month to be sure they’re staying focused and motivated.

 

Clear, realistic guidelines and action steps – having a clear cut plan is essential. I find clients like strict nutrition and lifestyle guidelines in the beginning, so they know they’re on the right track. If you give them too many options or leniency they may not feel as confident that they’re on the right path to reach their goals. As time goes on and they see improvements in their health, they can switch to more of a lenient maintenance plan with your help.

 

Coaching for those who need a little more support – Give some people a list of guidelines and their good to go, but that’s pretty rare. Be sure to offer options to those who may need a little more hand-holding. Maybe you meet with them a few times the first few months then check in with them once a month to keep them on track and motivated. Not everyone will need this, but you should offer it for those that do.

 

Activities and challenges to keep them engaged – In the beginning, your clients will likely be enthusiastic and motivated to make changes and feel better. But if you’re offering a12-month membership and they start feeling better at month 2 or 3, you need to have activities and challenges to keep them interested in your program, so they see the value in continuing. Keep them interested with challenges around the holidays, giveaways, discounts or simply more of your time or education from you.

 

Community environment to create discussion, support, and tribe. Research shows that people are happiest when they are part of a supportive group or community. Building a tribe of your ideal client will not only help your followers stay engaged, but it will help you grow your business. We recommend creating a private Facebook group for the customers who purchased your program. In this group you can do exclusive facebook live videos, Q&A’s so they feel like they have access to you even if you’re not doing one-on-ones.

 

Professional looking content that’s attention-grabbing

 

People aren’t going to stay focused and engaged if you have a dull, boring program, at least I wouldn’t. Choose bright colors, pretty fonts, and graphics. It will look professional, and your customers will look forward to your content each week.
