So…I’m asking now…go to the bottom, tell us what’s holding you back…THEN come back and read.

Is it your website?

Your logo?

You don’t have enough likes on your Fanpage?

You don’t have a Fanpage?

You don’t have enough experience?

Just can decide on an auto responder?

Well, whatever it is…no matter what it is…you can do business without it.  Get out there do business…and add those things as you go.

What are you waiting for?  Any of the things listed above can be taken care of in a matter of a few hours.  Things don’t have to be perfect to start your business….get it started, then work toward perfection (but never expect it).

Here’s what you need:

  • A name… you can pick any name…your name, something meaningful…you can always change to dba (doing business as).
  • Get a federal ID #
  • Check what permits and licenses and laws apply to you in your location.
  • Get a resale certificate from your state revenue department.
  • Open a business bank account.
  • Set up a simple bookkeeping system.
  • Brainstorm for clients and approach them.

You will be spending most of your time coming up with clients at the beginning.  If you do a good job, it will snowball on you.  You will continue to market and solicit new business and you will start getting referrals and repeat business.  As you grow, your reputation does too.

These are the beginning steps…the logo can wait years.  You will want to grow your business online and expand to passive income streams.  Sell programs and use your time better.

“Chase the vision, not the money, the money will end up following you.” —Tony Hsieh, Zappos CEO

We can help with that.  We can shave years off the time it takes to build your business. That is what we do.  We are here to support health coaches in building business.  In the meantime though…don’t let anything slow you down.  Get up, get started and it will happen for you.

Now go back to the comments and tell us what your limiting belief is holding you back from accomplishing and what you are going to do today to move your closer to your business goals.

My limiting belief that nobody will pay for my services in my small town. There is validity to my thoughts, but it has so far kept me from giving my talks I have spent hours planning out and scripting! My goal is 2 live talks this month before I spend ANOTHER dime on anything for my business. The truth is—fixing my website to sound like my authentic voice and convey the message I want to right now following the free advice of a marketer for health coaches has made me breathe a HUGE sigh of relief. I am ready to put myself out there IRL and build my list with confidence online 😉

What’s holding me back: analysis paralysis. 🙂

Thank you for reminding me that everything doesn’t have to be perfect.

Fear of not being ready and having everything in place. I don’t have business cards yet because I haven’t worked on my website and want my website address on my business cares.

I do have my name though 🙂

What’s holding me back is the perception of a lack of time. Feeling rushed. I’m also going through a dry spell with gaining new clients that has me totally perplexed. I haven’t had a problem in 2 years then boom. Not sure what to think.

i need to keep this quote in front of me while i’m working on my first e-course!

i’m feeling a bit overwhelmed as i create my signature program, as i’ve been alternating between “i have too much stuff in here” to “i’m not sharing enough.” your post is timely, cathy – i just need to toss out the limiting beliefs and DO IT.

What’s holding me back? Managing a full time job and my practice. I’m not ready to break away from full time employment and content keeping my business small and manageable right now.

Me, I’m holding me back because of fear of rejection.
