One of the biggest challenges for Health Coaches is writing down what we want to convey to potential clients, and feeling good about what we said.

Those of us who went to IIN got a little bit of an advantage because they did all the copy for us in websites and brochure examples.  Then, all we had to do was go in and make a few adjustments to make it feel like it is ours.

That is, until we saw 1000’s and 1,000’s of other health coaches with the exact same value statements and propositions.  Then it is time to expand.  Someone asked me “what is this with the roadmap to health” that everyone keeps talking about?  It is a good phrase – but, if you want to have a competitive advantage, you need to speak to your niche, convey your value proposition IN YOUR OWN WORDS in your copy.

This week, we downloaded the “Website Copywriting Guide”, provided to us by Jackie Crino, MBA, M.S., owner of SMART MUSE MARKETING into Health Coach University!  YES, it is FREE!

I’m at the beginning of my journey, and am not yet ready to copyright. However, I know that I can count on THCG to provide with the resources and guidance that I need to succeed. At the very least, I am being exposed to so many ideas and possibilities that I will be able to incorporate into my practice in the future.

  2. Michelle

It feels like Christmas! 🙂 I can’t wait to dive into these goodies. Thank you for your generous offer!

  3. Cathy

Every little bit of advice helps – copywriting is an area where reiteration and different angles are always welcome to help solidify and clarify. Thanks for the great resource, Cathy.

  4. Susan

This is a generous resource. Thank you for sharing and I have a couple of friends who are health coaches…I’ll let them know about your post.

Copywriting really is such an art, the teaching of copywriting more so. Thanks for recommending the resource!

  5. Susie

Wow, thanks for sharing this. I always need great resources for putting my own words into motion.

    • Mildred

The excerpt did raise plenty of questions which is one of the goals of the opntneg.Ii’s tricky to get everything into the first 500 words, but Bronwen has a good start here.

  7. Heather

This is a good post, specifically to all the IIN graduates. I am a nutritionist/chef and did not go to IIN (master degree from NYU) but I see those same words ALL OVER the place from whoever writes the IIN templates. “Can one conversation change your life?” It is a great reminder for everyone to have their own unique voice in your marketing materials, otherwise you will get lost in the shuffle, especially from a school that graduates 1000’s of people a year.

  8. Julia

What a great resource! Thank you for sharing. The only way to stand apart from the crowd is to be yourself, and share your own unique perspective in this world.

I thought I was “opted in” but I was unable to access the guide. I’m sure it’s spectacular and I agree, writing good copy that is unique to you and your business is essential and in “real words” that anyone can understand.

    • Cathy

Hi Sue Ann, I checked, you are opted in. You just need to log in to access the materials.

I think it should be noted that, besides Vampire and Romance, these games are user-contributed. The level of quality in writing and storytelling is not on the level of the four in-house Choice of Games titles (Dragon, Vampire, Romance, Broadsides).

  18. Cynthia Djengue
