One of the biggest challenges for Health Coaches is writing down what we want to convey to potential clients, and feeling good about what we said.

 

Those of us who went to IIN got a little bit of an advantage because they did all the copy for us in websites and brochure examples.  Then, all we had to do was go in and make a few adjustments to make it feel like it is ours.

 

That is, until we saw 1000’s and 1,000’s of other health coaches with the exact same value statements and propositions.  Then it is time to expand.  Someone asked me “what is this with the roadmap to health” that everyone keeps talking about?  It is a good phrase – but, if you want to have a competitive advantage, you need to speak to your niche, convey your value proposition IN YOUR OWN WORDS in your copy.

      The excerpt did raise plenty of questions which is one of the goals of the opntneg.Ii’s tricky to get everything into the first 500 words, but Bronwen has a good start here.

    This is a good post, specifically to all the IIN graduates. I am a nutritionist/chef and did not go to IIN (master degree from NYU) but I see those same words ALL OVER the place from whoever writes the IIN templates. “Can one conversation change your life?” It is a great reminder for everyone to have their own unique voice in your marketing materials, otherwise you will get lost in the shuffle, especially from a school that graduates 1000’s of people a year.

      I think it should be noted that, besides Vampire and Romance, these games are user-contributed. The level of quality in writing and storytelling is not on the level of the four in-house Choice of Games titles (Dragon, Vampire, Romance, Broadsides).
