HOW CLOSE ARE YOU TO ABUNDANCE?

Do You Know What it Is For You?

How long has it been since you’ve created a vision board?  Our values, needs, and desires change from year to year. Do you know the kind of abundance that is within your reach? It may be that life has been leading you instead of you leading your life.  I shared with you some of the changes I made last year to help relieve stress from being controlled by outside forces.  Now, it’s clear sailing, and I’m ready to do things for my family and me again.A small seaside home in Europe is part of my vision for this year. That’s because I have family there.

A few weeks ago I shared with you some of the changes I made last year to help relieve stress from being controlled by outside forces. Now, it’s clear sailing, and I’m ready to do things for my family and me again.  One thing is getting in tip top shape again.  Sitting at your desk takes a toll. Another goal is a home in England.  That is my vision for this year.  A home by the sea.  It doesn’t have to be big, and I don’t want it to be opulent, but it will have lots of beds for grandkids and an English garden and a couple of rooms with the sole purpose of play.  The kitchen will be nice too – and there won’t be a television on the property.

It occurred to me that all this silly IT stuff has been leading me along for the last few years and now that I’m free and clear, I’m going to be working on the things I can make a valuable contribution instead of chasing after problems….phew…just saying that felt good.

I’m grateful for all the abundance in my life. I’m so proud of my children (adults).  Many of you know Ashlie.  She’s bright and makes a contribution to her local community.  Jeff is in England.  He’s a physicist and runs Oxford’s Youth Hockey Program.  They’re both married with children who are brilliant as well.  This is true abundance.  Everything else is secondary.

Oh, the possibilities!

Do you get excited when you start thinking of everything you could do?  Or do you think “who am I to assume I could possibly do this?” Well, you can, so reach for the sky.

This year, I’m going to England at least once maybe more.  I’m going to Italy for a small invitation only event and I’m going to get up every morning and say “what do I want to do?” Then, I’m going to do it.  That’s abundance.

I’m going to Italy for a small invitation-only event.

I’m going to get up every morning and say “what do I want to do?” Then, I’m going to do it.

That’s abundance.

“Expect your every need to be met. Expect the answer to every problem, expect abundance on every level.”  Eileen Caddy

When we’re 12, abundance is popularity, good grades, and a cell phone.

When we’re 25, abundance may be a job, a significant other and plans for the weekend.

…..you see what I’m saying.  Abundance is different at different stages of our lives. It’s different year to year.  If we want a fulfilled life, it’s important to re-evaluate all the time. Otherwise, we’re missing out on a big part of the possibilities that are there for us.

Over time education, contribution (always), success, (always) family, creativity, other people’s success (my kids), have defined abundance for me.

What is abundance for you?  Share your vision.

Your vision for your home on the sea in England is so vivid th.at I could smell food cooking in the kitchen and hear children’s laughter! You’ve inspired me to embark in a vision quest and make a vision board, to move beyond basic goals and find what will bring me great joy; like you expressed in this blog. Thanks for sharing!
